As our 2017 Staff Week comes to a close and we eagerly await the arrival of our campers tomorrow, we reflect on our staff’s incredible diversity and remarkable ability to come together and build the foundation of such a strong and connected community. We are confident that the training and community building we have done in the past week will ensure a warm and welcoming environment to absorb our campers into.

As this video shows, we all have our own unique paths that have led us to Crane Lake this summer. Some of us have been attending this camp since we were kids, and for others, this is our first time entering the bubble. We all have different experiences, we call different countries from around the world home, and our native tongue may not be the same as our co-counselors. We want to celebrate our differences; each one of us adds something immensely valuable to this community. But more importantly, we want to recognize what we share. By doing this, we are able to connect with each other, build one another up, and flourish as a whole.

As a staff, we all made the same choice to spend our summer here at Crane Lake Camp rather than anywhere else in the world. Together, we trained, we prepared, and we got to know one another. We are ready for Summer 2017. We share that, and so much more.
