First time campers spent a wonderful afternoon at camp for New Camper Orientation Day on Sunday, June 5th, 2011.  More than 100 first time campers and their families had the opportunity to tour camp, make new friends, meet some of our great staff members and learn much more about what camp will be like.

The day began with a brief introduction by all of the staff members working the afternoon. After that, all of the kids divided up into their age groups, and started to make those connections that will last a lifetime.  Fun get-to-know you games, mixers and exciting activities were planned for the soon-to-be campers while the adults took their own tour of camp and then had a presentation that answered many of those camp question that first time parents have.

At the end of the afternoon, while the campers had snack, they were reunited with their parents where they introduced their new friends and counselors to them, and explained how great the afternoon was and how much they were looking forward to opening day! A good time was had by all!
