Crane Lake is known as a place where individuals learn, grow, and gain new skills. In fact, this is why so many families and staff value their time at Crane Lake so deeply.

As is often the case, people take the leadership skills they develop here and go out into the world to do amazing things. It is with this in mind that we are so excited that Aaron Gurvis, one of our Assistant Directors, will be pursuing his dream of becoming a Camp Director at Camp Tel Noar.

Aaron has been an incredibly valuable member of our team at Crane Lake Camp. His constant devotion to our campers and staff, passion for Jewish education, and creativity in developing meaningful camp traditions and memories have enriched our camp community. We are grateful for his impact on Crane Lake and while he will be missed, he will always be part of our CLC family.

We have begun our process to find Aaron's replacement and look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.

Please find below a personal note from Aaron that we wanted to share with you.

Dear CLC,

I want to thank the Crane Lake Camp community for welcoming me in, showing me kindness and compassion every step of the way, and giving me the opportunity over the past three years to grow as a person and a camp director. I will never forget the fight songs, the rope burns, the mini maccs and the puppies, and I will never again “waste the milk.” Crane Lake has shown me the true meaning of ruach and the true meaning of kindness – a combination that exists here in a way it does nowhere else. Thank you for all the adventures, all the memories, and all the friendship. If there’s one thing I know for sure, it's that…“in my heart, crane lake has a place to call it’s own” and it always will.

With love,
Aaron
