We’ve been hiking through Israel and as we go,

The list of lost and broken items seems only to grow.

With seven forgotten shoes, a toenail, and two broken Nooks,

We’re having trouble walking and reading our books.

We’ve got ripped pants, broken phones, and a hospital fright,

Not to mention a butt with a stonefish bite.

But despite all these traumas that have occurred,

It’s the best trip we’ve ever been on, WORD!

Monday morning we arrived in the Holy Land

Where we were greeted with lots and lots of sand.

After getting some much needed sleep,

Toward the Mediterranean Sea we started to creep.

Post-beach adventure we went to Eilat

We snorkeled and swam because it was so hot.

At 3:45 am we got up to go hiking,

It was absolutely worth it, for a view so striking.

We ended our stay with a trip to the sand dunes,

Flying down the mountain we looked like baboons.

Sitting around a bonfire underneath the stars,

We realized together we had come so far.

After sleeping in the desert and seeing its power,

We’re off to Shabbat and finally get to shower!

Love, group nine aka Olim ’13—first one with the rhyme scheme.
