Last night Crane Lake hosted its annual international night. With staff from all parts of the world from the Philippines to the U.K., Australia to Israel, you name it and Crane Lake has got it!

cash-cab-israelThe whole camp met on the main lawn after dinner and toured around different countries at stations located throughout the area. There were tons of activities that international staff created and led for campers.

At the Scotland booth, campers translated Scottish words and learned some traditional Scottish dancing. Australian staff had a rousing game of pin the joey on the kangaroo and also taught campers how to throw a boomerang. The Israeli Mishlachat drove around an Israel cash cab and quizzed its riders on Israeli fun facts while they rode around in a golf cart on the main lawn.

While traveling around the world, campers went to England where they were met with a series of events and people. Campers played soccer, sang karaoke, drank tea with the Queen and Princess Kate, and got autographs from the Spice Girls. A highlight from England was when One Direction showed up with their two bodies guards to meet all their screaming fans. The pop stars hugged their biggest fans and even gave a little performance later on in the night.

Crane Lake is lucky to have such a diverse group of people living in the bubble. International night presented a wonderful opportunity for campers and staff to get a small glimpse into the countries unlike our own.
