There are so many things that make Crane Lake unique and important to the lives of our campers and staff. This includes everything from the unforgettable friendships we make to writing our own stories into the Crane Lake history books. This summer will be a particularly special one for Crane Lake, as it marks our Chai (18th) summer as a Union for Reform Judaism Camp.

To honor our URJ Chai birthday we will be rolling out our “Journey to 18” Buzzfeed-style blog posts that celebrate the Crane Lake experience. The “Journey to 18” is your opportunity to share with us and the Crane Lake community how special Crane Lake Camp is to you. We want you to send us your lists (for example, “18 best things about CLC” or “18 ways we show community”). You can also send us ideas for lists that we will post on social media for your friends to complete. As we publish our lists we will make sure to highlight all of your ideas.

We are incredibly excited to share the happiness of our 18th birthday with you and even more excited to have you as a part of this celebration. In order to submit to “Journey to 18,” Email bhausler@urj.org with your lists and ideas for lists. In addition, if you have pictures that match with your lists and ideas attach them to the email. We look forward to embarking on our “Journey to 18!”
