Yesterday, all of camp, from Nitzanim to Machon, from Faculty to Leadership Team, prepared for an epic evening of excitement and amazing performances! Fight Song is a favorite CLC tradition in which each unit is split by gender, to prepare a parody song about camp, with inside jokes and camp references. The campers and staff have been practicing their lyrics and hand motions all week, and spirit was high as we were ushered into our Rec Hall for a night of wonder.

Here are the performances from the night (in age order)!

The Nitzanim girls were decked out in red, white and blue for a patriotic tribute for Fight Song! With the sweetest smiles, they were absolutely fantastic with their walks and hand motions. They really were the, “cutest patriots you’ll ever see!” They adapted “American Boy” by Estelle for their fight song, and took 2nd place!

Our Nitzanim boys rocked the house with an Israeli dance medley! They made an amazing Israeli flag with blue and white rows. They entered to, “Bomshi,” a Friday night favorite, and performed their fight song to “Golden Boy,” another Israeli favorite!

The Bonim girls brought us back to 1996 with a Spice Girls tribute! With some amazing Hebrew usage, they completely rocked the Rec Hall with their ruach! Dressed in all pink, they performed a rendition of “Wannabe,” by the Spice Girls!

Our reigning champions, the Bonim boys, rocked the Rec Hall with another amazing fight song. They prepared a flashback parody series starting with “Cats in the Cradle” and, “7 Years” by Lukas Graham… They looked great in their tie-dye and were very organized with their walk in. Check them out! They got 3rd place!

The Chaverim girls came in with a Color War dedication. They walked all dressed in blue and white, with their staff dressed as judges, singing a version of, “The Final Countdown,” and then performed, “Eye of the Tiger.” It was as if Maccabiah was here already!

The Chaverim boys looked sassy in their tied shirts, equipped with a silly rendition of “A Thousand Miles,” by Vanessa Carlton. They walked in to a great chant to “Pocket Full of Sunshine,” by Natasha Bedingfield, and performed with amazing charisma!

Olim jumped in with a medley of High School Musical tunes! Dressed like the HSM Wildcats, they entered the Rec Hall to “Now or Never,” and brought everyone together with, “We’re All in this Together,” by making it, “Everybody’s Summer!” Congratulations to Olim, our Fight Song Champions of 2016! We can’t wait to see their plaque on the wall.

The Machon wowed the audience with a medley from the Tony-award winner for Best Musical, Hamilton! They entered to a rendition of, “You’ll be Back,” in collared shirts. They rocked their Hamilton medley!

We hope you enjoy these Fight Song clips!
