Each session, our campers embark on Trip Day adventures!

Every unit traveled off camp to an different location, laughing and eating throughout New England.DSCF2535

Our Nitzanim campers went to Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut! Lake Compounce is a water park and amusement park, home to the #1 Voted Wooden Rollercoaster! Our campers enjoyed the Dippin Dots store, Crabby Patty gummies and a cookout in the pavilion at Lake Compounce, with hot dogs and hamburgers. Many camps go to Lake Compounce, and it was fun to high-five our friends from Eisner! They ended their day with ice cream sandwiches- the perfect ending to a perfect day.

DSCN0409_FotorBonim traveled about an hour and a half to Six Flags New England! With their camp t-shirts on and their bathing suits in tow, all of Bonim, with their counselors and specialists, were ready for an epic day! While traveling in small groups, the Bonim campers enjoyed ice cream, fried dough, cotton candy, fudge, toffee apples, and some giant lollipops. Everyone was really enjoyed the new Superman ride with virtual reality. They also moseyed down the watermark’s lazy river, and some campers even won stuffed animals at the carnival! It was a great day!

IMG_8577Lower Chaverim embarked on an overnight trip to Boston. They went on a Duck Tour around Boston on the roads, and then their bus turned into a boat, and they boated around the Charles River! The campers went on a tour of Fenway Park and visited Quincy Market where they were able to shop and eat. They also went to the aquarium, where they pet stingrays and awed at all of the fish, as it is one of the largest fish tanks in the world! The campers experienced Shear Madness, an interactive theatre performance, where the campers had to solve a murder! It was an awesome trip! Check out the video here.

SONY DSCUpper Chaverim left Tuesday morning for an overnight adventure in NYC. Day 1 of their trip included a tour of Temple Emanu-El, one of the largest synagogues in the world, a visit to the Central Park Zoo and the Central Park carousel. Their first night ended enjoying Fiddler on the Roof, on Broadway! They spent the night at Temple Israel of the City of New York, and woke up to some New York bagels! Day 2 included a boat ride on the Circle Line, lunch and games at Dave & Busters Times Square, and some free time with their small groups around 42nd street. After posing with their favorite celebrities at Madame Toussaud’s wax museum, they had some authentic NYC pizza at John’s pizzeria, and then we were on our way back to camp! It was a blast!
