Brand new for 2019, Crane Lake Camp has partnered with WOLFoods, the industry leader in camp food service, to bring some fresh new tastes to Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner!
WOLFoods comes to Crane Lake with an all-new menu that balances new flavor with the classic camp favorites – don’t worry, we still have Tender Tuesday! Already this year we’ve been treated to new cuisine from Mexico, Italy, China and more!
WOLFoods ditches the old camp standard of freezer-to-table fare and commits to making camp a home with home-style scratch cooking. They have hired all of our professional chefs, as well as our Food Service Director, and Dining Hall Manager for the summer, and the team is a highly credentialed group from all over the country!
Alongside our friend D, who is back in the kitchen returning for summer number four, we’ve got Gil, our Head Chef, who oversees the entire cooking process from dicing to plating. Don, our special dietary needs chief has been an absolute star, preparing some of the best gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan food a camper could ask for! Another magician in the kitchen has been Mike the Baker, who, outside of our delicious fresh-baked nightly desserts, and homemade daily granola, he freshly bakes the Challah every Friday so it’s perfect for Shabbat. (It’s the best Challah camp has ever had – period). You can meet some of them and hear their stories (and impressive resumes!) in this video!

What WOLFoods really does fantastically is bring the whole camp together as a community through food. When we come down to eat together we know that the food we are eating has been made with love, care and to the highest quality possible. We can’t wait to see what the kitchen has planned for us this summer!!
