Second session’s play was Moses the Mensch, a dramatic presentation of the story of Moses. We were transported to the time of the Torah with the excellent set and costumes. The cast had the audience in stitches with the comedic timing. What made this play even more special was that the author of the play, Sue Klau, was in the audience! A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sue is in a league of her own. Sue has dedicated her life to the Reform Movement; serving as temple founder, president, and URJ leader. Not only is Sue a teacher of Torah, she is also a lifelong student. Crane Lake Camp would not be the place it is today without her and Jimmy’s generosity, love, and kindness. We are grateful and proud that we could produce Sue’s original play in their honor.
