From Soccer Rachel to Teva Rachel, these past two weeks have been full of exciting experiences in my new position as Teva Director. After missing last summer to work in Wetland Conservation along the New Jersey coast, I am so excited to have the opportunity to spend another summer at Crane Lake.

Sailing is a very unique sport that many of us may not get to try often. Luckily for Crane Lake, we have a new Sailing Instructor that is extremely experienced at the sport.

This summer will be Calvin “C.J.” Gibson’s seventh summer at Crane Lake Camp. Under his supervision and guidance as the Athletics Director, along with Sam Klau, the Assistant Athletics Director, the sports staff has been preparing and training over the last week for campers to arrive.

Adi Appel is Crane Lake Camp’s first ever modern and Israeli dance instructor. This summer she will be teaching campers’ new and exciting dances that incorporate different movements and emotions.

A first hand look into Lifeguard Training 2015 by Darcy Golding, Swim Instructor. The waterfront is one of the most treasured and exciting activities on camp.

Crane Lake feels small. Not in a “this t-shirt doesn’t fit me anymore but I’m still trying really hard to wear it” way. More in an “I’m being enveloped in a tight hug and maybe I’m trapped under your armpit but it feels warm and safe here” kind of way.
