The spirit of camp revolves around our Chadar Ochel (dining hall). Camp eats all together, adding another level to the family community feel of Crane Lake Camp. Friday nights we have a festive Shabbat camp meal, followed by a spirited song session and Israeli dancing. We say Hamotzi (blessing over the meal) before we eat and chant Birkat Hamazon or B’rich Rachamana (grace after meals) after we eat. Our food is prepared with love and served family style.

Crane Lake Camp’s food is kosher style. Although not a kosher facility, we do not serve pork or shellfish or products containing them, and we do not permit such products on camp grounds. Whenever meat is served, kosher and vegetarian options are also offered, and a non-dairy dessert is served. We will also accommodate campers who require special allergy or health-related diets. If you have any questions about our summer meal program or your child’s dietary limitations, please call the camp office!

Here’s a sampling of the food we serve. Fresh fruit is available at every meal, and salad as well as sun butter and jelly are available at every lunch and dinner.
