Day two of Maccabia was off to a rainy start. Everyone was feeling refreshed after a late wake up and was ready for another amazing day of color war to begin.

After several incredible fake outs, the waiting is over…Maccabia 2015 has finally begun!

10 years ago, I arrived at Crane Lake ready to move into Bunk 5 as a new Lower Bonim camper. I spent that summer swimming in the lake, trying the ropes course for the first time, and winning my first fight song.

This week has been full of fun! Unit Heads give an update on what their unit has been up to!

Yesterday Upper Bonim led our camp in Crane Lake’s own Journey for Justice in solidarity with the leaders of the Reform movement and the NAACP. Our entire camp marched 860 steps, one for each mile of the journey from Selma to DC.

Lower Bonim led Friday evening services while Upper Bonim led Saturday morning services. The theme for Friday night was Savlanut, or patience and the theme Saturday morning was how our actions make a difference.
