Eisner Camp & Crane Lake Camp Staff Form a True Kehillah Kedosha
On Tuesday, Crane Lake staff joined the Eisner staff for a shared evening of training, praying and kinship.

Camp has come a long way since the “Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah” days at Allan Sherman’s Camp Grenada. In addition to snail mail, you can send bunknotes via bunk1.com, and Sealed With a Kiss makes sending packages a breeze. In recent summers we have posted occasional updates on Facebook and Twitter to help keep our families involved in the fun of camp. There are so many ways we will keep in touch with our families this summer!

We are in the homestretch! As you are reading this letter, our full-time staff are unpacking at camp and getting ready for another amazing summer at Crane Lake. Our extensive pre-camp staff training, beginning on June 3rd, covers a wide range of topics that are customized and age-appropriate for each unit. And I’m not just talking about core leadership and safety skills – our training goes much further than that.

“Chocolate Thunder” Dunks His Way to Eisner and Crane Lake
Ever wonder why it is so rare these days to see a backboard break during an NBA or College Basketball game when someone slam dunks the basketball? Well, this could possibly be attributed to the thunderous dunks from the late 1970’s and early 1980’s of Darryl “Chocolate Thunder” Dawkins, a former NBA great and ambassador.
6 New Cabins All Finished!
On June 26, we will fill 6 new cabins with happy campers! We broke ground in September and our construction crew just left camp. We are currently assembling 60 brand new beds and putting all of the finishing touches on these great new additions for Summer 2011!
CLC Welcomes New Campers
First time campers spent a wonderful afternoon at camp for New Camper Orientation Day on Sunday, June 5th, 2011. More than 100 first time campers and their families had the opportunity to tour camp, make new friends, meet some of our great staff members and learn much more about what camp will be like.
